Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ACGL), the first major engineering unit to be set up in Goa, a tiny but picturesque state of India, was jointly promoted in 1980 by Tata Motors Ltd (formerly known as Tata Engineering & Locomotive Co. Ltd.), the largest automobile manufacturer in the country and EDC Ltd (formerly known as Economic Development Corporation of Goa, Daman & Diu Ltd.)

I am the owner of Rocket Travels. I have been in the bus business for 40 years, and for the first time, I had the bus bodywork done at ACGL. I had the bus of Jupiter model built with ACGL, and is now 8 years old. There have been no issues to date. There have been minor issues, but whenever we ask, they come here to repair them. If there's not enough time, we go to them for repairs and bring the vehicle back. Now that 8 years have passed, there are no problems with the vehicles. These are two vehicles for which I had the bodywork done at the same time. If I get a good opportunity, I plan to give two more vehicles to ACGL. My name is Lume John Fernandes, and I am the proprietor of Royal Holidays India. We were established in 1991, and we have been operating coaches throughout Karnataka and Goa. Our trips include destinations such as Hampi, Badami, Bijapur, and Udupi. We have mostly sourced our vehicles from ACGL, and their buses are in excellent condition. The bodies they build are well-constructed and ideal for long trips. We have been working with them since the year 2000, and we continue to do so. I am the owner of Raj Tours and Travels in Verna, Goa, and our employee transportation company is also based in Verna. We handle this transportation by having the bus bodies made by ACGL. We have been getting our bus bodies built by ACGL for the last 15 years, and to date, we have not faced any issues. The performance of the buses is also excellent, whether it’s the seating arrangement or the overall build. We receive great service, and the buses are ready even within 45 days, even in emergency situations. There have been no issues with the employees either. They enjoy the ride, and there are no problems with the seats or anything else while traveling. Additionally, if we need any spare parts or anything else, we have a contact person at ACGL. We simply call him, and he arranges everything. For example, last time when one of our bus windows broke, we contacted them, and they arranged for the part and fitting after a short while. We receive excellent service, and we are grateful to ACGL for that.
