A Strategic Path to Sustainability

Sustainability

As the world continues to grapple with the impacts of climate change, the need for sustainable business practices has become increasingly crucial. Consumers and investors are demanding that companies take concrete steps to reduce their environmental impact and create a more sustainable future. For many businesses, this means developing a sustainability roadmap – a strategic plan that outlines the steps necessary to achieve sustainable operations.

Pillars Of Sustainability

In 2025 our focused areas are mentioned to reduce the consumption and reduce the carbon footprint.

In order to achieve Net Zero ACGL has taken numerous projects to reduce the Green House Gas emission

Key projects Include

  • Roof and ground mounted Solar power projects at Goa and Jejuri Plant.
  • Electrification of the Diesel operated ovens.
  • Replacement of all the MS pipeline into Stainless stell pipeline used for carrying Co2 gas required for production.
  • Procurement of Electric Forklifts for indoor and outdoor operations replacing diesel operated Forklifts.
  • Installation of solar street lights around the periphery.

ACGL  generated approximate  170 tons of non-recyclable, Hazardous and organic waste in the  year 23-24.

Under Zero Waste To Landfill initiative we have started

  • Disposal of the FRP Waste through Co-processing in cement industries.
  • Disposal and recycling of all the Hazardous Waste generated through authorized channels.
  • Conversion of food waste to organic waste compost.
  • Disposal of solid waste to vendors either using it for re-use or for recycling.
  • Total 160 cm3/day of water is drawn from ground and government supplies for daily operations and for domestic usage
  • In order to reduce the water consumption Key projects planned with target of saving of 50 thousand litres of water per day
  • Replacement of all the fresh  water distribution pipelines.

  • Installation of new all waste collection pipelines.

  • Installation of treatment plants for treatment of waste water.

  • System for reuse of treatment water for gardening and recirculation in the system for toilet flushing and production use.

Water Body

  • ACGL is building a water body which will collect and store approximate 72 Lakh litres of rain and treated water.
  • This will further reduce the drawing of Fresh water by 20 thousand litres per day.

Gardening and Tree Plantation

  • ACGL has planted approximate 1500 number of trees and 3000 m2of garden across the plant.
  • Promoting the ecosystem and reducing the impact on environment.

Each decision shapes the future of mobility with trust and innovation.
